Botox and Xeomin
What is BOTOX®?
Botox Cosmetic can be used for the treatment of fine lines and wrinkles. This FDA-approved injection works by temporarily weakening the treated muscle. Relaxing facial muscles prevents repetitive contractions, which both reduces fine lines and wrinkles and helps prevent them from developing.
What can BOTOX® treat?
Botox can be used to treat forehead wrinkles, glabella (area between eyebrows), fine lines around corners of eyes also known as “crow’s feet”.. Botox can also be effectively used for facial contouring. Botox can be injected into the masseter muscle, one of the muscles of mastication located along the mandibular angle of the jaw, to relax muscle contractility. This will cause the muscle to weaken and atrophy, resulting in slimming of the jawline.
